International Students

AHP requires that all students maintain student health insurance coverage as a condition of enrollment. You may apply for a waiver if you already have coverage under an alternate health insurance plan that meets certain minimum requirements. Travel plans or plans that require you to pay for treatment yourself and then apply for reimbursement will NOT be acceptable for waiving the AHP College plan.

On-Line Waive Process

You may request to waive out of the SHIP if you have comparable alternate health insurance. Please have an electronic copy of your current insurance card to submit a waiver request and follow the instructions to apply for the waiver of SHIP.

1. Click on the link below
2. Enter your Student ID as the user name
3. Enter your birth date as the Password in the format MMDDYYYY (Example: 01011990)
4. Select the waiver form under Submit Waivers
5. Complete the waiver form
6. Select the ‘Submit Waiver’ button

Waiver requests MUST be submitted no later than August 8, 2014 to be considered
